The cream coloured background has free moving lines all over in very subtle beige, almost blending with cream. The flowering plant is metrically spaced and is charming in the natural rendering of the flowers in full bloom. We can see a leaf stem at the base. The plant undulates gracefully as the leaves fold and twist gently about themselves. The open and semi-opened buds intertwine with the plants' sinuous stem. The flowers and partially, the leaves, are in beige and brown, with the stems and some leaves and sepals in bottle green. A very thin black outline keeps each part of the plant in check. The plant motif speaks of a very strong. Mughal influence. The border again is the kinds found in the 17th century Mughal art - carved in stone and marble, pietra dura, carpets and in miniature paintings. The key elements of the plant on the cream field are harmoniously incorporated into the borders meandering vine. Between two borders of this kind, is a straight row of plants lifted from the field.
A very elegant bed sheet, low on the scale of brightness but high on attraction and beauty!
