Men, women, animals engaged in activity form a loose, rhythmic pattern across the entire canvas. Domestic chores form the primary activity of the simple village folk. Hens, cows, bulls and dogs are part of the village life and intersperse people on the canvas. A river flowing along the hills provide them with an alternative of earning their livelihood. Fishes and crabs abound the river - a delight for the fishermen on the raft. Various kinds of trees can be seen atop the hills together with birds.
There is no lack of vision in the Warli artist. He expresses myriad of activities with the help of simple forms and strong lines. Circles and triangles combine to give shape to man and animal alike. Lack of colour does not affect the quality or aesthetic beauty of the painting. It is still breathtakingly beautiful and simple.
