This is a beautifully woven sari in silk. The body of the sari is in a lovely dark maroon color with small floral butis achieved in golden color. The border of the sari is unique because it is set against a red and black color background with floral and creeper patterns. The pallav is really very intricate with closely woven floral and creeper patterns. The leaves on the pallav are very delicately woven to give it a very poetic shape in a combination of red and black color.

This sari was created in the ancient city of Banaras, also known as Varanasi or Kashi.

This sari makes an excellent party and traditional wear for its elegance and beauty.
