This sari has a unique green color with broad self-checks. The checks are also not single lined but have double lines making the checks more prominent. The broad checks give fullness to the sari, since the body color itself is a little light shade. The Pallav, as in all Venkatagiri saris is woven in green and zari threads in vertical columns.
The border, woven in zari threads, on a dark green background, has a beautiful pattern. This pattern is usually found on the temple walls of south India. These borders are neither too thin nor too broad. This border is a repetition of the temple pattern in three rows.
