Every Sai devotee prays to experience His presence everywhere and at all times. Nothing is more valuable in life than to be His instrument. Not even a blade of grass moves without His inscrutable will to which we surrender and unconditionally accept. As we listen to Bhagawan we are released of all tensions and repressed emotions. We feel new vitality and experience depths of silence. It appears as though our innermost dormant energies are literally shaken. Baba's talks take us beyond narrow limitations of the mind. This alone solves many of our problems. Bhagawan is always direct and to the point. His teachings suggest practical steps to live a life of awareness. Each discourse creates a taste in you and such a taste is the beginning of a transformation. His very presence plays on the strings of Veena of every soul. Our job is not to desire but to remain available. Let us wait on God and let Him do things. Swamy's lectures show the way to bring prayerfulness to our lives. Then anything we do such as gardening, cooking can become a prayer. It means we have got to be egoless, because whatever we gain is lost due to the ego. Let us remind ourselves often of what Baba says "Now is the truth. You are the truth! God is truth. Truth is God. Live in truth". Let us be aware of our weakness. Then you are clear and ego is in control. It is true that this process is painful. But it ensures growth that goes through pain and much suffering as growth is not an easy or cheap commodity. It is only then by His divine grace every one is born as a spiritual being. Life is a river, flowing to the north, east and sometimes to the south. But one day or other the river is sure to reach to the ocean. Bhagawan symbolizes the principle of trinity as the divine master and a world teacher, by being charismatic, methodical and natural. Our Baba transmits a true understanding of unity or oneness of the universe as we just sit in front of Him, waiting and alert. This obviously is the main purpose behind the "Darshan" of Swamy. We sit and wait for His divine darshan sometimes for hours and hours to experience that unity, oneness, divinity, the only one without the second. Ekamevadwithiyam Brahma, the core principle of Sanathana Dharma.
Prof. P.V.Vaidyanathan has compiled and edited the present volume. He corrected the transcripts and arranged our Sunday Talks at Prasanthinilayam in a perfect order. I am very much sure that I can't adequately thank Prof. Vaidyanathan for undertaking this time-taking strenuous job. Undoubtedly it is his devotion to Baba and His teachings that made Prof. Vaidyanathan complete the project successfully. Thanks are also due to Prof. Mukundan, State President and Sri Bhadran, District President, Sri Sathya Sai Organizations, Kerala for all the assistance, support and encouragement.
