Vedic Maths or Vedic Mathematics is a collection of Methods or Sutras to solve numerical computations quickly and faster. It consists of 16 Sutras called Formulae and 13 sub-sutras called Sub Formulae, which can be applied to the solving of problems in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, conics, etc. All the sutras and sub sutras of Vedic maths help to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately. Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae. Vedic Mathematics is a collection of Techniques/Sutras to solve mathematical arithmetics in easy and faster way. It consists of 16 Sutras (Formulae) and 13 sub-sutras (Sub Formulae) which can be used for problems involved in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, conics. Using regular mathematical steps, solving problems sometimes are complex and time consuming. But using Vedic Mathematic's General Techniques (applicable to all sets of given data) and Specific Techniques (applicable to specific sets of given data), numerical calculations can be done very fast. The importance of Vedic Maths can be explained in various ways. The application of Vedic maths in the simplification of numerical problems is many times faster than the modern methods of calculations. Sometimes, this way of simplifying numerical calculations does not require paper and pen also. Thus, learning Vedic maths saves time and improves the interest in learning more applications of maths. Vedic maths has many tricks to perform different mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squares, square roots, etc. All these tricks help to compute the numerical problems in very little time when compared to the normal maths procedures. Vedic maths tricks reduce the time in finishing the calculations and create interest in learning more such tricks. Let's have a look at some of the tricks along with examples for a better understanding here. Vedic Maths represents a fascinating blend of ancient wisdom and modern applicability. Its ability to simplify complex mathematical problems, coupled with the speed and accuracy it offers, makes it an invaluable tool for students, educators, and professionals. As more people around the world become aware of its benefits, Vedic Maths is likely to gain even greater prominence in education systems globally. Embracing Vedic Maths can lead to a deeper understanding of mathematics, fostering not just improved calculation skills but also a greater appreciation for the beauty and logic inherent in the subject. Whether you're a student preparing for exams, a teacher looking to enhance your instructional methods, or simply a mathematics enthusiast, Vedic Maths has something valuable to offer. This book will surely increase the interest of students in mathematics. A new approach of solving lengthy, tedious and time consuming problems of Arithmetic with simple methods in Vedic Mathematics will be highly useful for aspirant students appearing for competitive Examination.
