Book Description
About the Book
All this is pervaded by Bhagavan." These opening words of the Isha Upanishad invite the seeker into a space of deep reflection and surrender. This book is a humble commentary on that ancient wisdom-not as a scholar's discourse, but as a seeker's heartfelt journey through the verses. Drawing inspiration from the Bhagavatam, the lives of saints like Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi, this work attempts to illuminate the essence of the Isha Upanishad through stories, analogies, and personal insights. The intent is to make the profound accessible, and the abstract relatable by anchoring it in the lived experiences of the realized ones. This book seeks to be a companion on the reader's spiritual path. Above all, this is a bird under the shade of the vast banyan of eternal wisdom.

About the Author
Ajoy Bharadwaj is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience. His debut book, a commentary on the Isha Upanishad, reflects his interest in Vedanta and spiritual inquiry.

Preface
If one contemplates on these two words from the beginning of the Isha Upanishad, then one enters a deep meditative state, according to Acharya Ramanacharanatirtha Sri Nochur Venkatraman. And why not, when the entire universe is pervaded by the Lord. This is what probably inspired me to write a commentary on the Isha Upanishad. I do not have expert knowledge of Sanskrit and of the Upanishads. Swami Vivekananda writes: "Krishna can never be understood until you have studied the Gita, for he was the embodiment of his own teaching. Every one of these Incarnations came as a living illustration of what they came to preach. Krishna, the preacher of the Gita, was all his life the embodiment of that Song Celestial; he was the great illustration of non- attachment." I had read these lines as a young eight- or nine-year-old from the Selected Works of Swami Vivekananda which have stayed with me since.
