I have read the manuscript of the book entitled Islamic Education-Redefinition of Aims and Methodology, written by Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, with interest. I can say without hesitation that this book is full of extremely use-full information, not only for the students and younger generation but also for those who have spent a substantial part of their lives in imparting Islamic Education. This book includes nine chapters. Each chapter provides some new material for all those who are interested in Islamic Education. I do hope both teachers and students of Islamic studies will make use of this book in teaching. The book also includes both constructive aspects and the weaker aspects of the existing methodologies used for imparting such an education. It gives some interesting information of how the existing system could be strengthened to achieve the best results.
