Radha and Krishna are sitting on the terrace with Krishna holding two lotus buds. Radha, in a light embrace with him seems visibly upset. Two women below with a veena and a drum are perhaps singing songs pertaining to the divine love Radha and Krishna. There is no variation in the face of Radha or the friends below and not much distinction in the ornaments and costumes. All the female figures have delicate faces with slightly receding chins and almond shaped eyes.
The architecture has remnants of Mughal era with walls containing niches in which wine vases can be seen. Patterned, loose and rolled up curtains are also to be seen. The foreground has a boundary wall of a shallow pond with a fountain in it. In the background, the artist has exhibited the richness of tropical gardens and woodland with much delight. In fact, the arrangement of trees and banana plantains as quite natural and appreciable. The hills in the background are tipped with patchy clouds and a full moon with grey and silver pigments. To add to the colorfully descriptive painting are calligraphic verses above and below the main picture.
