Gautama Buddha, fondly called ‘Buddha’ or ‘the enlighted one’, is the founder of Buddhism. Gautam Buddha was from a noble family in the clan of Shakyas. Buddha’s father made certain that Buddha is hidden away from all the unpleasing things of the world. One day upon encountering people of the painful side of the world, Buddha decided to seek answers to his questions. Years of austenitic practices in hopes of attaining Nirvana, Buddha chose that to pursue a different direction - evading the extremes of both, pain as well as indulgence. This route helped him reach the highest spiritual possibilities and in turn become Buddha.
This stunning brass statue of Buddha has exquisite inlay work and gives the sculpture a refined definition. Here, Preaching Buddha is observed in the seated position, his right hand held against his chest with the palm facing outwards and the index finger touches the thumb while his lefthand can be observed holding the Alms bowl. This Buddha statue brings positivity, and magnificence to its surroundings and is a symbol of pure spiritual fulfillment.
