This soft & warm shawl is an uncrushable length of black woven with beige. Instead of the common curled tip cone, the boteh here displays a stretched out body. Instead of the tip curling about itself, it assumes a kind of folded aspect half way down, not touching the side though. The major area of the shawl is covered by the repeated pattern of these botehs, although there is no distinction as to where one ends & the other begins. The cones gracefully tilt & bend over each other. Smaller botehs overlap the bigger ones, being different in form, size & colour. One might think that they would mar the effect of those tall curvilinear boteh - on the contrary they enhance the beauty & line of the latter. Only the ends are left bare, the beige thread trimmed before they reached the end.
The design, the colour, the texture, makes it a treasured collection. With a black evening dress or an Indian outfit, this sophisticated item of clothing can charm just about anybody.
