The green base of the shawl reminds one of the umpteen gardens of Kashmir. The greenery of the valley is translated on to the shawl, together with its floral wealth.
Various shades of pink that go into the making of the flowers, make it look so natural. Using satin thread and chain stich, the embroiderer has created a garden on fabric. There are flowers of various sizes but the same variety and colour. This shawl does not have a border but the entire surface is ornamented with flowers. The embossed effect created by the work makes it a nice change from woven materials and accounts for its great demand in the international market.
