This sheet's attraction lies in its distinct design and judiciously used dyes. On a maroon base are identifiable squares with a running stitch pattern all over. From afar, it looks like the famous kantha stitch of Bengal. Arising from the bottom are rows of grapevines, reaching the top. On the meandering, sturdy stems are leaves and bunch of grapes represented by loosely designed circles. The leaves are part off-white and part ochre. Enclosing this field is a black border with off-white bands with sharp edged lines. Beyond this is a broad section in grey with off-white running stitch pattern. A similar grapevine runs on all sides the difference is that the leaf here is part maroon and parts ochre. On the outer side of this section is again the repeated black band with edged lines. To accompany this elegant sheet are two pillow covers in the similar pattern of the field and the black border of the sheet.
The standard of workmanship is high, the dyes used are fast and the design attractive.
