Preface

The Ramayana is not just a story which happened long ago, it has a philosophical, spiritual significance and a deep truth in it The words 'rays' and 'radiance' come from the Sanskrit root word 'ra' 'Ra' means light, "Ma" means within me, in my heart. So, Rama means the light Goull within me. That which is radiant in every particle of the being is Ram. It is a very unique book. No one has ever written a great book like it ever till date. Who can predict if anyone can write something of this magnitude ever or not. There have been numerous writers who existed on this planet and the trend nowadays is that there are numerous interpretations of bibliography written and published. If all the books of the world were to be collected, it would stand like the great mountains of Himalaya. But the uniqueness and greatness of Ramayana is intact till date. Till date no one ever dared to or came close to creating the original work which was the work of the great ancient poet Rishi Valmiki. There were many after him who tried to interpret but did not match the magnitude. Also the reason being that Valmiki Ramayana was written in Sanskrit, hence not everyone could understand it, whereas the one written by Tulsidasji was written in the eastern dialect, it had more readers and became much popular.

Foreword

In essence, reading a book becomes a conversation with the author."

A conversation with Jawahar Pandit, the author, would surely be worthy enough to elevate and enlighten the reader. A straightforward, generous, honest, and humble seeker, Jawahar, so spontaneously brings forth his personal divinity in all his writings and expressions.

He wrote this book with total SHRADDHA, being aware that this book is about the journey of Bhagwan RAM, a living God.

His effort here is to bring out the relevance of this timeless epic to our current times and awaken in people the Holy Spirit, which is hidden in every individual heart, thereby to spread the idea of Universalism on this globe.

Universalism is synonymous with the name of Lord Ramas explained by this couplet, "Ek RAM Dasrath ka beta, (One RAM is the son of King Dasrath.

This is the physical aspect of RAM.)

Ek RAM ghath ghath mein baitha.

(One RAM resides in every being.
