She adjusts her odhini as she looks back. The lissome beauty is short, has a slender body, a delicate face with a prominent forehead, narrow almond shaped eyes and a receding chin. She wears a lehanga of a thick material, a very short choli coming up to the breast line and a transparent odhini that covers the back of her head, conceals yet reveals her long, dark tresses. Ornaments adds to her beauty. There is a lyrical movement in the female figure.
The artist here refrains from using too many colours. He uses microscopic lines with a single hair brush with great skill and maturity. This method is called 'pardaz' in the artistic world. Pardaz or gossamer of lines was a particular device applied around the form to produce the three dimensional effect. The workmanship of this miniature is precise and the line carefully controlled.
